'Salt Bae' is opening a restaurant that will sell 24-carat gold steaks
Nusret Gökçe is a world-renowned chef, butcher, and restauranter from Turkish who owns a chain of luxury steak houses. But the world knows him as 'Salt Bae', ever since his technique of preparing and seasoning meat with salt went viral and turned into an internet meme.Salt Bae videos and images are always in circulation on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Nusret keeps creating new viral content for his social media followers. However, most of them show him stylishly cutting or seasoning meat.He became more widely known after a series of videos and meems from January 2017, that showed him sprinkling salt on meat, started circulating.Since then, his popularity skyrocketed on social media and he gained on his business front as well by opening restaurants in Dubai, New York, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Boston, and Dallas.However, his restaurant in Boston was ordered closed by public health officials in 2020 after it opened due to violations of COVID-19 safety standards.Now, he is pushing his business expansion plans forward and looks set to open a new restaurant in the UK later this month.The restaurant will open in London and its menu will include his famous 24-carat gold steak.It goes without saying that the steak won't come cheap. According to reports, the item could set diners back by £700 or even more.The restaurant was scheduled to open months ago but was delayed due to COVID-19 lockdowns in the country. According to reports, the high-end eatery is set to open its doors on May 17.The restauranter had already given his Instagram followers a full view of the gold steak his restaurants offer.
