Rama-Lakshmana Jodukere Kambala to be held on March 6
Mangaluru: The fourth edition of Rama-Lakshmana Jodukere Kambala will be held on Saturday, March 6 at Goldfinch City, Bangra Kulur.Addressing media persons on Thursday, Capt Brijesh Chowta said, "Kambala is expected to attract over 100 pairs. Negilu (junior) section, Hagga (junior) section, Negilu (senior) section, Hagga (junior) section, Kane Halage, and Adda Halage will be the six categories of the event. Kane Halage, Hagga, and Negilu (senior) winners will receive two sovereigns of gold, while runners-up will receive one sovereign of gold. Similarly, the Adda Halage, Hagga, Negilu (junior) category winners will receive one sovereign of gold, while the runners-up will receive half a sovereign of gold." "The managing director of MRG group, K Prakash Shetty, Union minister D V Sadananda Gowda, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, former minister of Kannada and Culture of Karnataka C T Ravi, and district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru will be among the guests for the evening formal event.
