India can be among top 50 in any World University Rankings: IIT Delhi Director
Indian Institute of Technology, IIT Delhi Director gave a strategic reaction on QS World University Rankings 2022. IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IISc Bangalore have secured places among the top 200 universities of the world. Reacting on the ranks, IIT Delhi Director said that Indian top institutions deserve to be among top 50 in any of the world university rankings.Quacquarelli Symonds, global higher education analysts released the 18th edition of the world's International University rankings on June 9, 2021. IISc Bengaluru ranked number one in the world for research and 186th position in universities rankings. On the other hand, IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi secured 177th and 185th positions, respectively.Explaining on why we are not among top 50 in QS World University ranking, IIT Delhi Director said it is important to know the parameters and its weightage on which the rankings are made.
