The School Education Department will provide free coaching for competitive exams like NEET and JEE Main to class 11th and 12th studying in government schools. From the next academic session, the department will give coaching to 200 students in the first phase in the state. One hundred will be from Jammu and 100 from the Kashmir division. Coaching centers will be set up for these students in Jammu and Srinagar city, where they will be taught free of cost.The School Education Department will provide this facility to the children of economically weaker families. For this, online applications will be sought from the students, after which there will be an online evaluation test of the students. In this, 100-100 students will be identified. The department is going to start this exercise from the next session.Its objective is to prepare deserving students for other competitive examinations like NEET, JEE Main so that more and more students from the state can achieve success in these examinations. Moreover, the Education Department will prepare the students for online and offline examinations.The application process for this will be started soon. First, the department will issue detailed guidelines and eligibility criteria. The department will start this exercise with 200 students in the first phase; the number of students will be increased if the results are good.
