Chandigarh Schools closed from May 10 to June 8 amid Covid-19 crisis
Chandigarh administration has announced to close schools from 10 May to 8 June 2021. According to the officials, this time teachers will also be given the said vacations and there will be no online classes conducted. However, during the cause of vacation to principal teachers and nonteaching staff can visit this school if necessary. The decision by the Chandigarh administration has been taken to further curb the spread of covid-19 in the City and for assuring the safety of school-going children and others.According to the Chandigarh administration, the crisis of the covid infection in the city has deepened. At present more than 700 coronavirus infection patients are coming to the city every day therefore it is very risky for a citizen to ensure their safety. As an effect of Corona Hospital in the city did not have any beds left the FIR Tree hotels operated by CITCO are converted into coronavirus hospitals to help people.Earlier, the Chandigarh administration has announced to close all educational institutions, schools, colleges, coaching institutions in the state due to covid pandemic curfew in the state. All the educational institutions and libraries will remain closed till May 15th, 2021.
