Patna: In a shocking incident, the beheaded body of a 19-year-old girl, who was about to get married, was found in Dwarka Bigaha village within the jurisdiction of Tharthari police station in Nalanda district of Bihar.The now-deceased teenager was set to tie the knot with one Azad Kumar of Neerpur village. Her family had given gifts worth more than Rs 4 lakh to the prospective groom’s family in the Saraswati Puja ahead of the wedding. However, before the marriage could have solemnized, she was brutally hacked to death.Tharthari police station’s watchman, S Paswan, said: “Decapitated body of the teenage girl was found in the village. Her hands and legs were tied.”The victim’s kin said that she was murdered over her prospective groom’s love affair. They claimed that Azad was entangled in another love affair simultaneously that led to this incident.In another incident, a man in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh allegedly killed his pregnant wife by setting her on fire after she objected to his illicit affair with another woman. As per reports, the now-deceased woman, who was nine months pregnant, was against her husband's extramarital affair. She left the house with her husband to go to a doctor for medical checkup. Her husband took her to a secluded spot in Unnao's Alamnagar area, where he allegedly thrashed her and then burnt her alive. The next morning, some locals spotted the victim's charred body and alerted the police. Subsequent police inquiries led to the arrest of the accused.
