Sports Ministry reestablishes acknowledgment of Archery Association of India
The Government acknowledgment of AAI was removed eight years back by virtue of the inability to lead its decisions as per the National Sports Development Code of India, 2011. Government acknowledgment of AAI will be legitimate for one year.
Association Minister for Tribal Affairs and President of Archery Association of India Shri Arjun Munda invited the choice of Sports Ministry and said in an official articulation, "I am grateful to the Ministry for disavowing the suspension of Archery Association of India forced on seventh December 2012. It will be an incredible wellspring of support for Indian groups to perform better at this critical point when they are getting ready to confront the hardest test from the top Archers of the world in Tokyo-Olympics," the President added.
The Archery Association of India accepts this acknowledgment will demonstrate help for the advancement of the game in the nation and sportspersons who are currently getting ready for the Tokyo Olympics.
Appointment of Office Bearers and Executive Committee of AAI were led by Delhi High Court named Returning Officer Shri PK Tripathi on 18.01.2020. The political decision results and report of the Returning Officer have been analyzed by the Sports Ministry and has acknowledged the appointment of AAI hung on 18 January 2020 in which Arjun Munda (President), Pramod Chandurkar (Secretary) and R.S. Tomar (Treasurer) were chosen.
World Archery (global alliance for Archery sport) has additionally lifted the suspension of AAI and as such at present, the AAI has the acknowledgment both of Indian OlympicAssociation and the World Archery.
