Police in West Bengal's Cooch Behar lathicharged laborers of the Bharatiya Janata Party for conflicting against TMC laborers on Tuesday. Visuals posted by news office ANI show police scattering laborers from the two players after the new conflict.
The conflict began after BJP laborers hindered the public parkway during a 12-hour bandh called by the gathering following the passing of a specialist in the locale. Not long after the conflict began, police arrived at the spot and lathicharging them with an end goal to clear the region.
BJP had required the 12-hour bandh on Wednesday after its laborer was purportedly pounded the life out of during a between club conflict.
The occurrence happened during the submersion of symbols of Goddess Kali in Tufanganj region. At the point when BJP stall secretary Kalachand Karmakar attempted to placate the conflicted, he was thumped. Karmakar later imploded on the ground and was announced dead at an emergency clinic where he was taken, said a senior cop.
Karmakar's better half had asserted that he was mixer with bamboo sticks. The BJP has affirmed that the TMC was behind the episode and required a 12-hour bandh in Tufanganj today.
Mamata Banerjee's TMC party, notwithstanding, denied the charge. A TMC pioneer from the territory said that the BJP is attempting to politicize the issue and added that the occurrence happened because of a nearby debate.
Then, police have captured one individual in association with the occurrence and a test is in progress.
