Included in the formal curriculum is the current education system for the three ongoing years. In the years a child spends in school, between the two versions, this means no modulation.
The biggest difference in the two models is to concentrate on the current rote learning, rather than 'one size fits all' pedagogical educational framework. the two models concentrate on a more practical and inclusive element. The new structure is listed in detail below.
The basic stage is for students aged 3-8 years. Children 3 years of age are included in this "multi-level play activity based learning." From now on, these children will be eligible for three years to 6 years in pre-schools or kindergartens.
However, at this point these three childcare years will take five years in tandem with classes 1 and 2. Schools should concentrate more on improving language skills and learning based on plays and events.
Students aged 8-11 years for Class 3-5 are included. At this point, schools concentrate on language learning and digital skills, and language education involves a local language or the mother tongue of the child.
Schools are to teach three languages and it is the prerogative of the State to agree on them.
Students aged 11-14 in grades 6-8 will be included. The emphasis will be on the topical style of learning and critical learning in science , mathematics, literature, social science and humanities.
It contains children between the ages of 14-18 and is split into two classes, one class 9 and 10, the other class 11 and 12. The focus of this stage is on a student's life goals, critical thinking and versatility with the subjects they choose.
A modification to the testing system was also suggested by the NEP. The assessment system will monitor each child's vulnerabilities and desires to assess his or her core capabilities.
