The Kerala Vigilance Department has recorded the capture of previous clergyman and IUML MLA VK Ebrahim Kunju on Wednesday for his supposed inclusion in the Palarivattom flyover trick. The watchfulness group captured him from a private medical clinic where he was under therapy.
On Wednesday morning, the cautiousness group testing the Palarivattom flyover trick arrived at Ebrahim Kunju's habitation in Aluva. His family members educated the group that he was not at home and was admitted to a private emergency clinic in Ernakulam city.
Before long, the group arrived at the medical clinic and affirmed that the MLA was there. Subsequent to talking with the specialists, his capture was recorded.
He was before booked by the watchfulness group for his supposed contribution in the Palarivattom flyover trick.
The case relates to the development of a National Highway flyover in Palarivattom, perhaps the busiest intersection in Kerala. The development was started and 80% of the work was finished during the residency of the past UDF government in which Ebrahim Kunju was the pastor for the Public Works Department.
The flyover which was finished and open for traffic in October 2016, was closed in May 2019 after significant imperfections were identified in the structure. A body of evidence was enrolled against numerous authorities and contractual workers for the supposed blemishes in the development.
IAS TO Soorja, who was captured regarding the case had named Ebrahim Kunju. He said the clergyman had conceded all leeway and marked the documents worried for the development of the flyover.
The state government has now started work to recreate the Palarivattom flyover. The development is being directed by E Sreedharan.
