It is the second ideological group framed under the administration of the All Assam Students' Union after Asom Gana Parishad which was shaped in 1985.
The name of the new provincial ideological group was declared by Assam Advisory Committee conveners Basanta Deka and Krishna Gopal Bhattacharya during a public interview held in Guwahati on Monday.
The 16-part Assam Advisory Committee was framed by the All Assam Students' Union and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad.
All Assam Students' Union and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad had assumed significant function in the six-year Assam Movement against illicit outsiders and AASU had marked Assam Accord in 1985 with both the Center and state governments.
