"I'm going to keep fighting for it"-Jimmy Butler still pushes for no-name NBA jersey, responds to complaint in Orlando against him
Jimmy Butler is made from a different fabric, so far as personalities go. The leader of the Miami Heat is known for openly sharing his views and last week he addressed the special request he had made to the NBA.
Butler preferred the name room to be left vacant instead of wearing a social justice logo on the back of his NBA jersey. He thought this move would get him back to his roots because if he wasn't a basketball player, he wouldn't be any different from any color individual.
Unfortunately, there have been claims for Jimmy Buckets that the association may have turned down the offer. When asked during the media call on Monday about the same, this is what he had to say:
"With determination. We had a few more days to work this out. Yet I am sure my appeal will be fulfilled. I hope [the NBA] will come back and see the message I 'd like to get out there, and let me think about what I'd like to think about. Like I said, to be resolute. We don't really know. I are going to keep pushing for it. And I am hearing plenty of other players across the league want to do the same.
The appeal from Jimmy Butler has definitely caught the attention of other NBA players, many of whom have demanded a jersey with a blank nameplate. We 're going to have to wait and see how the saga unfolds.
