The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) under Chief of Defense Staff Gen Bipin Rawat is intending to actualize the proposition to expand the retirement age for officials by one to three years by April one year from now.
"There has been a positive reaction to the age augmentation proposition as all officials would serve one to three years additional which would carry them more like 60 years old when their nonmilitary personnel partners superannuate," government sources told ANI.
"The arrangement is currently to actualize the proposition from the earliest starting point of the following monetary year in April," they said.
Prior, officials would resign and serve till 58 years old under the reemployment plot.
After the age expansion, the safeguard powers would likewise close down the reemployment conspire for officials who might resign from ordinary assistance and reemployed again for a couple of years getting the compensation of a low-position official.
