Amazon reveals 20,000 jobs in India: How to apply is mentioned here.
On Sunday the Amazon e-commerce site reported nearly 20,000 seasonal positions in its Indian customer service team. The company has revealed that the jobs will be available in 11 cities including Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Noida, Kolkata, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Mangalore, Indore, Bhopal and Lucknow. This advancement comes a month after the announcement by Amazon of 50,000 temporary jobs in India.
Amazon explicitly stated that workers would have the opportunity to work from home, because most of the positions offered are part of their Virtual Customer Service system.
The positions are open to all as the minimum qualification needed for education is the 12th standard pass, and candidates should be eligible in languages like English, Hindi, Tamil , Telugu or Kannada.
A TOI report says the jobs are going to pay an individual around Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 a month, and the temporary positions created are going to apply for up to six months there. Employees are expected to care for customer problems through various channels like email, speak, social media, and phones.
"In response to the rising demand from consumers, we are constantly reviewing recruiting needs around the customer service organization.
We predict that with the onset of Indian and global holiday seasons, customer traffic will increase further over the next six months, "said Amazon India Director (Customer Service) Akshay Prabhu in a statement.
Because of now, the vacancies provided by Amazon are contractual but the company states that some of the contractual positions will be turned into permanent positions at the end of the year after reviewing the candidates' results and the business requirements of the company. Interested candidates can apply for the positions by calling 1800-208-9900 or by sending an email to email@example.com.
Amazon had revealed earlier this year that it plans to create 1 million new jobs in India by 2025 by investing in technology, infrastructure and its logistics network. The official statement had been made during the visit to India by Amazon CE0 Jeff Bezos. Bezos said the company was preparing to spend $1 billion to "help put online 10 million traders and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises ( MSMEs) across India, enabling the US $10 billion in cumulative exports by 2025."
"in the next five years we are spending over creating a million new jobs here in India.
We've seen significant contributions from our employees, exceptional creativity from the small businesses we've affiliated with, and genuine passion from the customers that shop with us and we're excited about what's ahead, "Bezos had said.
