Eleven men wearing the Indian Army uniform were captured close to Guwahati's LGBI air terminal after they couldn't create official personality cards, police sources said on Tuesday, adding their exercises were "profoundly dubious".
The police are yet to discover the rationale behind their development in the high-security zone in Army fatigues.
Police sources have disclosed to NDTV that a watch group initially got four men in armed force fatigues, who later drove them to seven others. They were captured after they couldn't give any personality or indicate an explanation behind their development, police said.
"We have captured all the 11 people. We have enrolled a case under a few tough segments of the IPC (Indian Penal Code). In starter examination, we have discovered that these individuals were remaining here for recent month," Guwahati Joint Commissioner of Police, Debraj Upadhayay, said.
"They were unlawfully wearing armed force uniform as they couldn't give any lawful and substantial personality card of the Indian Army. We speculate a scheme here. We have to uncover subtleties," he added.
As per starting examination, sources stated, one of the captured men, Dhriman Goswami, had supposedly given the others counterfeit arrangement letters of a security organization.
