At any rate 11 individuals passed on and 17 others were harmed when a scaled down truck in which they were voyaging slammed into another truck on the edges of Gujarat's Vadodara city early Wednesday morning, police said.
Leader Narendra Modi and Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani communicated despondency over the loss of lives in the mishap.
"Disheartened by the mishap in Vadodara. My contemplations are with the individuals who lost their friends and family. Asking that the harmed recuperate soon. The organization is giving all conceivable help at the site of the mishap," Modi said in a tweet.
"Disheartened by the loss of lives because of a street mishap close to Vadodara. Educated authorities to do needful. May the individuals who have been harmed recuperate at the soonest. I petition God for the withdrew spirits. Om Shanti," Rupani tweeted.
The mishap occurred at Waghodia hover close to the city around 2.45 am the point at which the casualties were going towards Pavagadh in Panchmahal region, Vadodara Deputy Commissioner of Police Karanraj Vaghela said.
"At any rate 10 people, including five ladies, passed on in the mishap. The little truck, hauling around 25 individuals, smashed into a truck trailer from behind," Vadodara Police Commissioner R B Brahmbhatt said.
The harmed people were raced to a common emergency clinic, Vaghela said.
ANI later detailed that the loss of life had moved up to 11.
In any event 11 individuals kicked the bucket in the mishap in the extremely early times of Wednesday, Ranjan Ayyer, Superintendent, Sir Sayajirao General (SSG) Hospital said. Upwards of 17 individuals who continued wounds in the mishap have been admitted to an emergency clinic.
The people in question, all from Varachha region of Surat city, were going towards Pavagadh, a popular strict spot in Panchmahal situated close to Vadodara, Vaghela said.
A few families from Varachha in Surat had employed the smaller than normal truck to visit sanctuaries at Pavagadh, Vadtal and Dakor (in Kheda), he said.
An examination was in progress to discover the reason for the mishap, he said.
